Maskulin | Pencarian Lelaki Maskulin (PLM) 2006 / 2007

The bi-annual event from Majalah Maskulin, Pencarian Lelaki Maskulin (PLM) 2006 / 2007 have started and Riz Ainuddin have made it through to the final / top 24 finalis for the grand finals in April 2007 with great confidence. There were over 2000 applications made and only 24 are able to make it to the grand finals. Here are the24 finalist for the Pencarian Lelaki Maskulin (PLM) 2006 / 2007.

Before getting selected as one of the finalist, I had to go through the first round selection process which start last September 2006. A 20 minutes mental IQ test were given out to test our intellects. I'm sure Karangkraf would want a decent competitive set of minds. Somebody smart.

Then it's time for us to test our photogenic abilities in front of the camera. Each given a few minutes to pose 'macho' or 'maskulin' and these photos will be used as profiles for the contest.

Then finally the interview session. This really tested my confidence and communication skills. The panel of jury was consisted of Editor Maskulin; Magazine Head, Ms Sharah Ibrahim; Group Sales Manager, Mr Rashdan Rashid; Head of Fashion, Art and Design Faculty, UiTM, Shah Alam, Prof. Mohd Najib Nor; and last years first PLM 2003 / 2004 winner Mr Sophian Abdul Rahman which is the Assistant Director in the Ministry of Education.

I did well in all three first round stages. I kept the interview session short and sweet. The jurys wanted to know the characters of the finalist. How confident are they, how well versed are they in English and Malay and your physique. Yeah. I had to take off my top. Embarassing yes! But they needed to see. It's part of the process. I'm being a good sport.
