DiGi | Outdoor Campaign

DiGi's horizontal billboard along highways

DiGi's horizontal outbound billboard along KLIA highway.

I didn't put much hope then when one my casting agency Mugshot called wanting to present me for DiGi. It was for a lead male talent for their current 'Malaysia's Widest Highspeed Mobile Coverage' outdoor campaign. Media coverage includes billboard, banner and bunting.

It was a normal conversation over the phone. Then I carried on doing my work in my room. Was under a lot of pressure to get some design concepts out for one of my clients. I got distracted daydreaming and hoping I will get the part. I went to a lot of casting before hoping to make a break. It's something which I feel I could just do it like any talent that I've seen out there.

The phone rang during my short nap in the evening. My casting agency was on the phone confirming me as the talent for the job. The situation was a bit surreal. I just couldn't believe it. I was definitely confirm as the talent (I called back twice). haha.

DiGi's brochure and newspaper creatives

On shoot day, I was just a little nervous. It was just like another shoot I have done before. Shoot was done over at Untold Images at Taman Tun with agency Naga DDB there overseeing the execution process. I had a wonderful experience, despite the waiting time that was wasted. Shoot took 8 hours right through the middle of the night. Never have I smiled and laugh so much during shoot. Felt like my lungs gonna collapse from all the laughing. All the photos turn out outstanding, I look like some 23 year old college kid.

DiGi's horizontal banners and billboards along highways

Weeks passed, the outdoor campaign is out in Klang Valley. Saw my huge figure over at one of the billboards over at Federal Highway near Jln 222. There is one opposite Giant on the LDP and one over at BESRAYA highway. Was driving back yesterday and some of the new banners was out also, not that recognisable as my figure is a bit small sitting on the bench with my laptop overseeing KLCC in the background.

Maskulin | Modeling Part-time

My first modelling debut for a commercial magazine. Do check out the patriotic August (Ogos) issue of MASKULIN magazine by publisher Karangkraf. Actor and model Jehan Miskin made cover for this months issue. They got my name misprinted as Riz Abdullah.

Titled Indivualistik! The theme of the fashion shoot explores the contemporary mood and styling of a classic, sexy, postitive and individualistik appeal. I was so impressed by the photo that was taken, that I manage to carry and bring the mood out naturally in front of the camera and the cloths that I was wearing. Probably, I have this natural hidden talent.

Clothing were provided by Calvin Klein Jeans Mid Valley, Zang Toi, William Liew, Instinct, Obermain and Hush Puppies. Some of the cloths I wore that day was really nice, the cutting was just perfect for me. As a model for the shoot, I can't complain much on what to wear or what not to wear. I had to put on this hot pants, yup..Hot Pants! from Zang Toi.

Many thanks to Sam Anuar (Fashion & Style Editor) and the rest of the crew for making this moment possible. Appreciate the support. I also get to pose with experienced Brazilian model, Bruno from Andrews model. Alot of experiences were shared on set, thanks man!.

Wonderful experience and new things were learnt over at the location shoot over at Bagan Lalang. Definately would want to explore and experiment more with my emotions being in front of the camera. I always remember this tip from one of many modelling websites I've visited. Talk to the camera, if you want to potray sexyness, talk sexy to the camera(with your mouth not moving) and more importantly; feel.

FEEL!.....
